Toi Johnson was born and raised in a small town called Laurens in the deep woods of South Carolina. She grew up driven, hungry, and very intelligent. She graduated high school in 2010 and went off to college at Lander University and graduated in 2014. Toi created Faced By Toi in 2017 when she hit when of the lowest feelings of her life, a miscarriage. She blamed herself, she felt ugly, and unattractive and reached out to make up to beautify herself. Toi mastered the brow look of 2016 and branched out to help other people with getting their looks together for different events. Toi, then, branched out into a salon to do makeup where she wanted to branch off into something more than just makeup. She became interested in skin because so many different textures and tones say in her chair and she wanted to be able to give them tips on how to make their skin better. Toi started Cosmetology School for Esthetics in 2018 and graduated in 2019. She has been to continuing education classes that have taught her so much more about skin and other services that esthetics offer. Since going to school, Toi had a dream of one day opening her own spa and offering anything that made someone feel beautiful
